There is a line in a Wilco song, Wishful Thinking, that goes, "What would love be without wishful thinking?" I was always fascinated by the amount of W's in the line and it loosely reminded me of the whole "What would Jesus do?" bracelets, and I thought it would be kind of funny to play with letters of Wilco lines and make page designs out of them. Plus I think the typeface used in this book, Knockout, the uppercase forms are absolutely fantastic.
